KP Chassis provides the most advanced engineering techniques to kart chassis designers and manufacturers
permitting evaluation of the structural behavior of the frame as well as the whole vehicle. Based on the reliable
finite element method, allowing easy management of the design, and direct access to each parameter of the kart,
thanks to a user friendly interface. The results respond in real time to every modification made by the user.
In fact the software is based on a specifically developed algorithm able to give completely reliable results with
low computational effort.
User friendly interface
Every change on your kart model can be easily done by simply clicking on the part to modify thus accessing the proper form. No engineering know-how is needed: just a basic knowledge of the vehicle characteristic is enough to successfully use KP Chassis obtaining obtaining satisfactory results.KP Chassis has been addressed to the designers who need a quick, effective and easy-to-use tool, in order to reach the best performance in a short time.
Vehicle and parts modelling
The frame and the entire vehicle are represented by a fully detailed model that strictly represents the actual kart. Consequently the results obtained by means of KP Chassis fits experimental measurements. By means of the user interface every part of the chassis can be entered, modifying geometric parameters such as position, length, diameter and material of the tubulars as well as all the other part of the vehicle like tyres, steering system, seat position, etc.
KP Chassis permits easy evaluation of the stiffness characteristics of the stand-alone frame and of the whole
vehicle. By means of a specific calculus algorithm the torsional stiffness of the entire chassis as well as the
stiffness of the front and rear zone can be assessed. Furthermore the vertical load acting on each tire can also be
evaluated considering the load transfer in static condition (due to the steering kinematics) and in dynamic conditions,
considering the acceleration arising during braking, cornering, and exiting of a curve.
Result management
The analysis results are visualized through the interface in real time, allowing a quick comprehension of the effect of the modification made on the kart chassis. Moreover KP Chassis permits exporting the results and the relative diagrams in a summary report easy to consult. All the analysis output is stored, together with the project and the modification made on it, for each work session easily permitting a comparison with the previous sessions.
